Zenlayer, Cyxtera partner to enable high-speed connections to emerging markets
Zenlayer, a provider of distributed edge cloud services, and Cyxtera, a data center colocation and interconnection service specialist, have come together to bring high-performance cloud connectivity across the globe’s emerging markets.
Zenlayer and Cyxtera have partnered to connect customers from Cyxtera’s global data centers to multiple sites and cloud providers in Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The companies say this will provide customers with high-speed, reliable connectivity for local businesses to access the world.
“We are thrilled to bring our services to Cyxtera’s industry-leading global data center platform,” said Joe Zhu, the founder and CEO of Zenlayer. “Together we will make high-performance cloud compute and networking services available in the world’s fastest-growing regions, helping businesses connect with users they aspire to reach.”
Zenlayer has more than 290 edge nodes and over 5,400 peers across 50 countries. The company says it maintains extensive relationships with local carriers to provide top-quality connections, a full-mesh, redundant architecture for high availability and scalability and programmable traffic engineering for low latency.
Meanwhile, Cyxtera has over 60 data centers covering 30 markets. The company says that they provide customers with flexible infrastructure solutions, enabling them to scale faster and gain a competitive advantage. They have over 2,300 enterprise and government customers.

The ecosystem partnership was announced at PTC ’23 in Honolulu, where Zenlayer was a Silver sponsor and finalist for Outstanding Cloud/Edge Company at the PTC Awards 2023.
Last month, Zenlayer and Digital Edge, a digital infrastructure provider in Asia, partnered through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deliver edge cloud services in East and Southeast Asia.
