Zededa, Avassa join forces to provide edge application orchestration
Zededa and Avassa have partnered to provide customers with an end-to-end orchestration that combines Zededa’s infrastructure orchestration capability and Avassa’s container management platform.
The companies say the partnership offers customers a strong foundation for existing workloads and modern container application stacks.
“This partnership with Avassa provides a comprehensive solution that customers deploying technologies at the edge require,” says Michael Maxey, the VP of business development at Zededa.
More specifically, the collaboration lets Zededa and its customers run modern, containerized and existing virtualized applications at the edge with complete visibility and manageability. It also solves challenges associated with infrastructure at the distributed edge, the company executives say.
According to Gartner, over 65% of CIOs have deployed edge computing or plan to deploy it by mid-2025.
“We’re excited to work with Zededa since they, too, purpose-built their solution for the distributed edge,” says Avassa’s CTO, Carl Moberg.
The companies say the Avassa Edge Enforcer will be available on the Zededa Marketplace, allowing customers to quickly and easily deploy container applications within their distributed environments with a single click.
“By leveraging Zededa’s edge-native infrastructure solutions together with Avassa’s edge container application platform, companies benefit from easy edge orchestration without compromising security,” adds Moberg.
Last month, the 2023 GigaOm Radar Report for Kubernetes for edge computing recognized Zededa as both an “Outperformer” and a “Leader”.
