ZEDEDA adds new certification following the release edge kubernetes service
Edge infrastructure orchestration company ZEDEDA has announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, which came following an independent assessment by a third-party assessor.
The certification is granted to companies that demonstrate a structured approach to data management, security, integrity and availability.
ZEDEDA also holds a SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation that states the company maintains controls over the security, availability and confidentiality of its cloud-based orchestration solution and related systems.
“ZEDEDA has been built from the ground up to protect the intellectual property of our customers, beginning with our industry-leading zero trust security model,” says Said Ouissal, ZEDEDA’s CEO and founder.
“This certification is another industry first that not only further validates the confidence that our customers have in our solution but also helps them to meet their own compliance obligations.”
ZEDEDA says its commitment to security is reflected in its recent release of ZEDEDA edge application services, which make it easier for customers to gain granular control across all of their edge applications.
In addition to this, the company says its new ZEDEDA edge kubernetes service, a fully managed kubernetes service for the distributed edge.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification mandates numerous controls for the establishment, operation, monitoring, maintenance and continual improvement of an ISMS, certifying that an organization has deep-rooted methodologies for business, people and IT processes, along with an established framework to help identify, manage and reduce risks surrounding information security, according to the company.
Elsewhere, Zededa recently introduced the Zededa edge Kubernetes service, a fully managed Kubernetes-as-a-Service designed for the distributed edge. The service aims to simplify Kubernetes infrastructure deployment and management to allow customers to prioritize application development and reduce edge infrastructure expenses.
Zededa was also recognized as a “leader” and “outperformer” in GigaOm’s Radar report for Kubernetes for edge computing earlier this year.
