Webscale acquires Section.io to launch new Kubernetes orchestration solution

According to the company, CloudFlow enlists patented AI/ML capabilities for resource allocation, scaling, and cost optimization, reducing cloud infrastructure costs.

The solution’s Composable Edge Cloud (CEC) enables one-click multi-cloud integration, in a bid to provide its users with the ability to operate across various cloud providers. The company adds that the CloudFlow platform is SOC2 Type II, PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliant.

With the acquisition, former Section.io CTO, Dan Bartholomew, will move into the role of chief product officer within the Webscale organization. In his new role, Bartholomew is set to lead the product development organization.
