In 2022, Metro Edge announced the groundbreaking of its first data center, located in Chicago’s Illinois Medical District. The 5-story, 191,000 square foot facility on Chicago’s West Side is set to provide mission-critical data storage to hospitals, healthcare providers, universities and corporations while also providing workforce training for local residents interested in pursuing careers in the data center industry.
EdgeIR spoke to Craig Huffman, CEO of Metro Edge at the PTC’24 conference in Hawaii and the company’s approach to assess market trends in the edge space.
