VIAVI unveils XEdge for edge network monitoring and cost reduction

VIAVI Solutions introduced XEdge, an all-in-one, cloud-based solution for continuous edge network testing and monitoring at scale.
XEdge integrates a multi-carrier RF probe and controller, supporting multi-SIM, built-in sensors, and autonomous testing for flexible use. It addresses the complexities of wireless environments, leveraging cloud-based architecture, edge computing, and AI for streamlined SLA monitoring.
The system supports 5G NR, LTE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB interfaces, and complies with FCC, IC, and CE certifications. XEdge also offers centralized management via a web-based interface, deployable in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid models, with REST API integration for third-party systems.
“Cost-effective reliability and performance are critical when it comes to edge and enterprise applications. VIAVI’s XEdge is designed to be a simple, unattended system that gives peace of mind to those responsible for delivering low-latency, reliable edge environments,” says Deepak Shahane, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Service Enablement, VIAVI. “By addressing the complexities of new wireless technologies in addition to the challenges of traditional network management, XEdge is a key sensoring platform that helps reduce operational costs and enhance network performance, which ultimately leads to higher-performing networks and satisfied users.”
Designed for cost-effective reliability, it reduces operational costs, enhances network performance, and supports industries like public safety, transportation, and private enterprise networks.
XEdge will be showcased at MWC Barcelona from March 3-6, 2025.
