Turkcell and ZTE shatter European 5G speed record with 32 Gbps breakthrough
Turkcell and ZTE achieved a record 5G-Advanced speed of 32 Gbps in Istanbul, setting a new benchmark in Europe.
The trial utilized ZTE’s unique 1.6 GHz BW mmWave AAU and 64TR N78 AAU technology. 5G-Advanced technology enhances connectivity, improving data rates, reducing latency, and increasing capacity for various applications.
Potential applications include live broadcasting, extended reality, ultra-HD streaming, and ultra-low latency services.
Turkcell’s CTO, Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, emphasized the transformative impact of 5G stating, “Transitioning to 5G will enhance operational efficiency and customer experiences. This milestone in speed showcases how strategic partnerships can drive progress across industries.”
ZTE’s Senior VP, Peng Aiguang, also highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving significant advancements in 5G technology.
