Telefónica Tech to integrate Netskope into security edge services portfolio
Telefónica Tech, a managed security services provider, will integrate security capabilities from Netskope into the company’s Security Edge service to offer end-to-end security and management. The collaboration will enable Telefónica Tech’s enterprise customers to secure cloud data, focusing on public sector organizations as well as large and mid-sized businesses to help them in their digital transformation processes.
“This agreement perfectly fits into Telefónica Tech’s strategy of consolidating cloud environments and cybersecurity,” said Francisco Ginel, global service integrators channel director for Southern Europe at Netskope. “Netskope Security Cloud delivers security services meant to protect users, applications, and data wherever they are. Our security portfolio acquires an extraordinary value when combined with the experience, management and operation capabilities of a partner such as Telefónica Tech.”
The agreement states that the integration of Netskope’s services will be managed by Telefónica Tech operation centers and marketed in the European Union, United Kingdom, Latin America, and the USA.
Telefónica Tech’s global network of operations centers will manage the Netskope’s integrated services and will be supported by industry experts with certifications in Netskope’s technologies. The combination of software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) with Telefónica Tech’s Security Edge allows enterprise customers to take advantage of the fast converged secure access service edge (SASE) service.
Netskope NewEdge is a private cloud that provides real-time, inline security services of the Netskope Security Cloud. This allows the company to deploy enhanced security at the edge network. Telefónica Tech connects directly to the Netskope NewEdge to increase the security services that it can offer for enterprises adopting edge computing solutions. Gartner recognizes Netskope as a leader 2022 Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge for its rapid growth and adoption by customers across the globe.
Telefónica Tech’s cybersecurity solution offers a complete service portfolio from intelligent managed security services and managed detection and response to consulting, including hardware and software reselling. The Netscope services join those of Zscaler, which Telefónica Tech also recently partnered with.

Netskope recently announced the acquisition of WootCloud to extend the Zero Trust capabilities to enterprise IoT. The acquisition marks an important step for Netskope because of WootCloud’s HyperContext Security Platform that provides end-to-end visibility, context, and threat remediation for managed and unmanaged devices.
