Sunlight.io and Safozi join forces on edge and private cloud services in North Africa
Sunlight.io, a provider of virtualization software for edge computing, has entered a new partnership with North Africa’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider Safozi.
The collaboration will focus on bringing high-performance and private cloud services to media and financial services customers, with local support to various countries across North Africa.
“With Sunlight, we can offer our enterprise customers a superior cloud solution that’s hosted locally in Tunisia, with local support, and at a low cost,” explained Safozi’s Founder & General Manager Zied Ouled Ali.
“The Sunlight team has been on hand to help get our new cloud capability up and running quickly. My customers are excited to experience the high performance they can now get from the Sunlight infrastructure,” Ali added.
More specifically, Sunlight.io and Safozi will deploy high-density servers with high-core count CPUs, SSD and SAS storage, and fast networking components to offer cloud services with the performance of bare metal infrastructure.
“It has been a pleasure working with Safozi to bring affordable, high-performance cloud services to Tunisia and the North African region,” commented Sunlight Founder and CEO Julian Chesterfield.
According to the companies, by taking advantage of their new IaaS offering, customers will now have the flexibility to take advantage of a virtual data center service featuring a guaranteed set of CPU, memory, and storage resources that can also be sliced into virtual machines according to workloads’ needs.
“Applications running on Safozi’s cloud will now be able to deliver a far higher level of responsiveness to their users which translates to better customer satisfaction,” Chesterfield concluded.
The partnership with Safozi comes months after Sunlight.io upgraded its NexVisor software to facilitate the management of distributed edge deployments.
More recently, the company announced a ‘Hyper-Convergence Innovation of the Year’ win at the SDC Awards 2021.
