Stratus ztC endurance platform wins Joseph C. Belden innovation award

Belden Inc. announced that the Stratus ztC Endurance platform has been awarded the inaugural Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award. Named after Belden’s founder, the award honors advancements that drive the future in sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

The Stratus ztC Endurance platform, a fault-tolerant computing system, was recognized for its role in supporting sustainable operations. According to the company, the platform offers 99.99999% availability by using predictive fault tolerance to prevent downtime and data loss. Its design aims to ensure protection, manageability, serviceability, and high performance, in a bid to address potential failures proactively.

John Chaves, senior director of engineering at Stratus, expresses gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the platform’s role in setting new standards for compute reliability. “With the launch of this innovative platform, a new level of continuous system availability is now possible for organizations across every industry. Stratus has set a new standard for compute reliability that will empower organizations on their digital journeys well into the future,” he adds.

The award was presented at the first annual Joseph C. Belden Innovation Summit, which featured presentations and discussions on the technology behind the finalists’ submissions.

Belden president and CEO Dr. Ashish Chand congratulates Stratus, highlighting the platform’s potential to revolutionize the industry with its exceptional availability and innovative combination of software and hardware.

“The solution exemplifies the innovative nature of Joseph C. Belden by meeting the complex needs of current OT and IT teams while acknowledging and addressing the challenges companies face in the future,” he continues.

The other finalists for the award were TECHMEDO, with its Intelligent Healthcare Operating System aimed at improving healthcare access in rural and underserved areas, and Voleatech GmbH, with its VT AIR OT Firewall Software, aimed at enhancing connectivity and security in the OT network space.

The finalists were chosen from a field of submissions evaluated on innovation, business value, and ESG (environmental, social, or governance) impact by a panel of industry experts.
