StackPath, Edgevana offer Web 3 services for Solana participants
StackPath, an edge computing service provider, has announced it’s partnering with Edgevana. Edgevana is a startup that provides businesses access to data centers and simplifies procuring edge infrastructure services. Through this new partnership, Solana Foundation Tour de Sun ’22 (TdS22) participants will gain access to StackPath servers as a deployment option through Edgevana.
The StackPath and Edgevana collaboration will allow Solana community members to deploy Solana RPC and validator nodes through StackPath. The companies say it will enable companies to leverage Edgevana’s one-click marketplace feature. Both companies have aligned themselves as official solution providers for the Solana Foundation server program, with the collective goal of expanding Web3 technology adoption.
The Solana Foundation server program gives members access to StackPath’s expansive network of 39 locations, allowing them to launch and manage their servers. Not only are these connections private, but they also boast enhanced throughput. The company claims to offer superior decentralization, integration capabilities and proximity to edge users for maximum performance.
According to the company, Edgevana’s end-to-end solution allows members to deploy, configure and verify validator nodes in under a minute. To further their decentralization mission, they partnered with the Solana Foundation for Tour de Sun 22.
“Partnering with Edgevana was a no-brainer,” said Paul Drew, SVP for strategic infrastructure development at StackPath. “Our team has worked relentlessly over the past 12 months to give server program members unprecedented scale, decentralization, and performance. Meanwhile, Edgevana has practically perfected the deployment and onboarding experience — it just doesn’t get easier or faster. This partnership brings together the best of both worlds.”
StackPath servers come equipped with 32 processing cores and 1920GB NVMe storage, and customers can select between 256 or 512GB of memory. The servers have redundant 25Gb connectivity, accompanied by 64.8TB of complimentary bandwidth, supporting CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu operating systems.
Edgevana also recently teamed up with the Solana Foundation to provide decentralized system operators access to enterprise-grade hardware. This strategic alliance between the two firms gave Solana users access to Edgevana’s products and services and enhanced the validator experience.
