The partnership integrates Spirae’s Distributed Energy Resource (DER) management software with Lanner’s edge computing hardware to optimize grid performance and energy efficiency.
The combined solution enables real-time data processing at the grid edge, reducing latency and improving decision-making for utilities. It supports renewable energy integration, microgrid optimization, and energy dispatch, addressing the complexities of decentralized energy systems.
Spirae’s Wave software platform offers vendor-agnostic DER management, energy storage, and microgrid support, with applications worldwide.
Lanner Electronics provides rugged, scalable edge computing solutions, including its next-gen Virtual Protection, Automation, and Control (vPAC) server platform.
At DistribuTECH in March, Spirae demonstrated a co-simulation environment developed with NREL to showcase DER coordination for solving utility challenges.
