Sequitur Labs provides security for Lenovo-based edge computing AI models
Lenovo selects Sequitur Labs, a Fall City, Washington-based edge security firm, as a technology vendor of choice to protect edge AI computing applications built on the ThinkEdge SE70.
Sequitur Labs’ EmSPARK Security Suite is said to address embedded security concerns, particularly the protection of AI models at the edge. It offers encryption, storage, data transmission, and key/certificate management, which is stored in a microprocessor’s secure memory partition. In tandem with EmSPARK Security Suite, the Lenovo ThinkEdge SE70, an edge AI platform, can better isolate dedicated hardware running AI models and deliver inferences and relevant data to secure AI models at the edge, a press release says.
The ThinkEdge SE70 is designed to meet intelligent transformation needs from logistics, transportation, and smart cities to industries like retail, healthcare, and manufacturing, it adds.
“Having developed a robust security suite that already integrates with cloud platforms and supports NVIDIA Jetson, our working with Lenovo to extend protection to their ThinkEdge platform was a natural extension of the EmSPARK technology,” says Larry O’Connell, vice president of marketing at Sequitur Labs.
“As more and more enterprises begin to incorporate IoT devices like the ThinkEdge SE70 into their overall network architecture, having an integrated security suite provides peace of mind that they are better protected from attacks throughout the life of the product. We are pleased to have been selected by Lenovo to help secure and manage AI models at the edge.”
The ThinkEdge family of products is used for AI solutions to track COVID-19 tracking protocols and 5G smart city networks in Barcelona, Spain.
