Scale Computing updates Fleet Manager and earns praise in 2023 Gartner Voice of the Customer
Edge computing, virtualization and hyperconverged solution provider Scale Computing recently announced new features for its Scale Computing Fleet Manager (SC//Fleet Manager) and the HE100 product family at the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Conference 2023.
The Gartner conference covers embracing change, optimizing workloads, maximizing efficiency and building resilient systems and teams to meet evolving enterprise needs.
According to Scale Computing, the HE153, part of the HE100 series, streamlines edge computing with self-healing software and a compact, all-flash, NVMe storage-based compute appliance. With a small form factor, it can be deployed without a rack or server closet.
According to Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing, the latest release of the ASUS-based NUC allows IT teams to consolidate virtualization, servers, storage and backup/disaster recovery. Ready says that with fleet management, it offers a scalable solution for data centers, branch offices and distributed edge locations.
Additionally, Scale Computing notes that the SC//Fleet Manager simplifies workload and infrastructure management across an edge fleet of Scale Computing HyperCore clusters. With a cloud-based console, users can monitor connectivity cluster health and address any issues, the company says. The SC//HyperCore software also offers on-premises edge computing with high availability and disaster recovery.
Scale Computing lauded by users in Gartner report
Scale Computing has also been recognized as an Established Vendor in the 2023 Gartner Voice of the Customer for Full-Stack Hyperconverged Infrastructure Software.
Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) software offers a comprehensive solution by combining storage, computing and networking resources into one efficient system. It simplifies application management and data storage in a compact package.
Gartner notes its report provides insights for infrastructure and operations leaders. It aggregates ratings and reviews, offering each vendor direct user experiences and recommendations.
According to the report, Scale Computing received positive scores in multiple areas. With 1,108 reviews gathered over 18 months, 94 percent of reviewers would recommend their HCI solutions. They achieved a 4.6/5-Star rating in product capabilities and a 4.8 in support experience.
With a focus on easy management, lower total cost of ownership, and scalability, Sca;e Computing’s CEO says the company provides a resilient infrastructure solution for organizations’ evolving IT needs.
