Scale Computing launches health check service to streamline auditing and reduce risk
Scale Computing, an edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solution provider, has launched Health Check and Audit, offering customers and MSPs reviews of their Scale Computing Platform performance metrics. The service also provides documented recommendations for best practices, changes or updates to a customer’s environment to save time and reduce risk.
“This service will be critical for any customers or MSPs who go through frequent internal or external IT audits and need to supply Scale Computing documentation to fulfill their auditing needs and achieve significant time, cost, and productivity savings,” says Scale Computing CEO Jeff Ready.
A subscription-based service, the SC//Health Check and Audit Service provides organizations with bi-annual or quarterly assessments of their Scale Computing system. It includes audit documentation outlining the current state of SC//Platform clusters, performance metrics, utilization data and security compliance information.
The service offers suggestions for fixing any issues and tips for improving performance and upgrading firmware or server hardware. It also identifies areas where the SC//Platform solution may be lacking or need improvement.
According to Scale Computing, the SC//Health Check and Audit helps prevent IT staff disruptions and addresses all SC//Platform suggestions, providing security audit details and optimizing the environment as required on an ongoing basis.
Scale Computing says its platform allows users to run workloads efficiently, providing high availability and scalability on a single platform. The Health Check and Audit Service enables IT teams to conduct routine system inspections to detect problems while promptly meeting audit requirements.
“The Health Check and Audit Service eliminates the need for IT staff to manually review and configure the SC//Platform, and helps businesses optimize their environment and meet auditing and compliance requirements,” adds Ready.
In March, the managed services provider (MSP) Cat-Tec announced an investment in the Scale Computing platform. The investment was made to enhance their service offerings, boost net profitability, and increase recurring revenue predictability.
Using Scale Computing’s SC//Fleet Manager tool, Cat-Tec IT leaders say they can now access real-time information from a centralized source and readily spot potential issues across their cluster fleet.
