Qwilt and Corix boost edge network capacity across NA and Europe

Qwilt and Corix announced a strategic partnership to enhance content delivery across North America and Europe using Qwilt’s Open Edge technology.

Corix will expand its network capacity by 6.2Tbps, improving latency, reducing congestion, and ensuring seamless user experiences.

The partnership supports Qwilt’s goal of onboarding more ISPs into its federated global network, which already includes over 175 service providers and content publishers.

Qwilt’s Open Edge technology powers a distributed edge cloud with over 1,000 Points of Presence (PoPs) serving more than a billion subscribers globally.

Corix will offer premium caching services for content publishers, unlocking new revenue opportunities while enhancing performance and reliability.

“Corix’s commitment to innovation makes them a perfect partner in our ongoing mission to transform content delivery by building the world’s largest, highest-performing all-edge network,” says Alon Maor, CEO, Qwilt. “By embedding Open Edge deeply within Corix’s network, we align the complete edge compute and delivery value chain, making higher standards of performance possible. This partnership ensures seamless digital service delivery to millions of consumers across North America and Europe.”

The collaboration aligns with Qwilt’s mission to build the world’s largest, highest-performing all-edge network for streaming, gaming, and software distribution.

Corix’s infrastructure includes 40+ PoPs, advanced technologies like WaveLAN connectivity, and DDoS protection, ensuring secure and scalable content delivery.

Qwilt partners with major global service providers and streaming platforms, including Comcast, Verizon, Disney, and Vodafone, to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
