Qualcomm and Mistral AI bring generative AI directly to edge devices

Qualcomm partners with Mistral AI to integrate new generative AI models into Snapdragon-powered devices.

Mistral AI’s models, Ministral 3B and Ministral 8B, are optimized for Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform and other Snapdragon platforms. 

These models are designed for on-device use, enhancing privacy, reducing latency, and improving energy efficiency. Mistral 7B v0.3 is currently available on the Qualcomm AI Hub, with 3B and 8B models coming soon.

The collaboration aims to empower developers and users with advanced generative AI capabilities directly on their edge devices.

The recent Snapdragon Summit showcased these advancements and their potential applications in automotive and AI PCs.

Qualcomm’s technologies are focused on transforming industries and enhancing user experiences through cutting-edge AI solutions. Qualcomm recently joined forces with STMicroelectronics for wireless IoT with edge AI integration.
