Pulsant’s partner program to fuel collaboration in UK data center and edge sector

Pulsant, a provider of data center and edge infrastructure based in the UK, has introduced a partner program aimed at fostering collaboration among regional businesses and channel partners to meet the increasing demand for colocation, edge, and IaaS solutions.

The newly launched program by Pulsant is designed to offer partners access to its platformEDGE digital infrastructure. It seeks to establish a collaborative ecosystem by providing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) with various resources including new commercial models, sales enablement resources, incentives, and dedicated support staff. This initiative aims to facilitate digital innovation, accelerate hybrid cloud adoption, and enable partners to deliver comprehensive solutions to their clients without significant capital investments.

Founded in 1995, Pulsant has been spending the last five to ten years taking the company from a managed service provider, very similar to 50 others in the UK, to a focused regional data center provider. Pulsant has 12 regional data centers across the UK.

Mark Turner, CCO at Pulsant tells EdgeIR: “We are very focused on a digital infrastructure offering. What we mean by that is a data center with a network and a cloud platform that we can host people using whatever IT services they need. We are no longer interested in offering managed services. We are looking for people that are offering value to the end user.”

Pulsant’s existing environment comprises over 200 IT service providers, 100 SaaS platforms, 500+ enterprises, and connectivity providers, including LINX and Megaport.

Additionally, to support the expansion of the partner program, Pulsant has reinforced its channel team by appointing a head of partnerships and three regional partner development managers.

Wendy Shearer, director of partners and ecosystems at Pulsant, emphasizes the importance of partnerships in driving innovation, citing the UK digital strategy’s focus on fostering strong ecosystems to support organizations in leveraging transformative technologies such as AI and IoT. She highlights that regional firms often lack the necessary resources to make successful digital infrastructure investments, and Pulsant’s interconnected ecosystem aims to address this gap, enabling partners to capitalize on high-growth markets and gain a competitive advantage.
