Premio validates automation software on its rugged edge computers
Edge and embedded computing technology provider Premio completed the validation of Inductive Automation’s “Ingnition Ready” software on its ruggedized edge computers and touchscreen panel PCs last week.
Ignition Ready is an industrial application platform for automation industry needs, deployed for industrial operations and digital transformation on the factory floor. It enables enterprises with efficiency and productivity in their IT to OT factory data management.
OEMs, System Integrators, and IIoT solution providers that require this software will now be able to easily integrate and deploy Premio’s computing hardware.
Premio explains in its announcement that to determine if the computer has been validated to work with the software, it will carry a certification badge. Ignition software will not be included in the device purchase and will require licenses sold separately from Inductive Automation.
Last April, Premio unveiled an edge computing ebook addressing the technical complexity of industrial computing products.
