OSS, Segra and Iceotope expand senior leadership teams with new appointments
One Stop Systems (OSS) has appointed Craig Powell to join its business development team. As the new business development executive, Powell will be responsible for expanding the company’s sales opportunities in U.S. and International defense and commercial markets.
Mike Knowles, CEO of OSS, says: “Investing in our sales infrastructure is an important strategic focus as we pursue significant opportunities across our defense and commercial markets. Craig has a proven background that spans over 20 years within the defense industry and within C5ISR market verticals, as well as over 13 years in the Canadian Army.
“Our ability to attract highly skilled and experienced leaders from outside OSS reflects the significant growth opportunities we are pursuing and our leadership position within large and rapidly growing AI, ML and sensor processing at the edge markets. Most recently, Powell was Vice President of Business Development at Overwatch Imaging, a developer of automated sensors and AI-enabled software solutions, and prior to this, he held senior level business development positions at Systel, Inc., a provider of ruggedized computers, purpose-built for mission success for defense and commercial deployments.
Segra welcomes new CFO
Independent fiber network provider Segra has hired Scott Roberts as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), bringing more than thirty years of sales and marketing experience from the broadband and telecom sectors.
In this role, Roberts will be responsible for leading the company’s revenue growth and market expansion, reporting directly to Kevin T. Hart, CEO of Segra.

Prior to joining Segra, Roberts served as CRO at TruVista Communications, and has also held senior sales and marketing leadership positions at companies including Comcast Business Services, and Level 3 Communications.
Iceotope hires Christian Belady as senior advisor
Iceotope Technologies Limited (Iceotope) has announced the appointment of Christian Belady as Senior Advisor. Known for his approaches to infrastructure and quantitative benchmarking, Iceotope notes that Belady is a well-established data center executive.
Speaking about the new hire, David Craig, CEO of Iceotope, says: “Christian is one of the most respected figures within the data center industry. His expertise in developing some of the largest data center footprints in the world comes at the perfect time for Iceotope.
“We see demand for liquid cooling exploding as data centers seek more efficient and effective cooling methods to accommodate advanced workloads and solve for higher rack densities and greater power demands. We are thrilled to have Christian join us on this journey.”
Christian was most recently the vice president of data center research at Microsoft, where he led a team to drive data center technologies in cooling, power generation, networking, chip technology and natural ecosystems.
