Nokia and Lenovo team up to advance edge-ready AI data centers
Nokia and Lenovo have formed a strategic partnership to develop advanced data center solutions for AI and machine learning workloads.
The collaboration aims to create reliable, scalable, and secure networking and automation solutions for enterprises, telcos, and cloud providers.
They will integrate Lenovo’s AI-ready servers and storage with Nokia’s data center networking solutions — which spans data center fabric, IP routing, and DDoS security portfolios, along with the recently announced data center network automation platform, Event-Driven Automation (EDA), enhancing performance for modern workloads.
Both companies will focus on high-speed, secure interconnectivity for AI clusters within and between data centers, as well as emphasize energy efficiency and built-in security to address cyber threats and reduce operational costs.
“Our partnership with Nokia to bundle AI solutions is a natural alignment,” says Charles Ferland, vice president edge and communications service providers at Lenovo. “Together, we provide a robust platform that meets the needs of telecommunications and enterprise sectors, enabling them to deploy AI clouds and manage their data efficiently.”
The goal is to provide a robust platform for deploying AI clouds and managing data efficiently, generating cost savings and new revenue streams, setting new industry standards in data center technology, enhancing performance, reliability, and sustainability.
Lenovo recently launched TruScale GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) for on-demand GPU resources.
