Nextchip taps Ceva’s edge AI NPU to power smarter, safer ADAS systems

Nextchip has licensed Ceva‘s NeuPro-M Edge AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for its next-generation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) solutions.
The NeuPro-M NPU enhances AI capabilities, enabling superior performance in object recognition, segmentation, and free space detection in complex environments. Ceva’s NeuPro-M supports Vision Transformers (ViTs) and processes multiple video streams and AI models in parallel for higher efficiency and precision.
The global ADAS market is projected to grow significantly, reaching $122.8 billion by 2030, driven by increasing demand for vehicle safety and autonomous driving, according to data from Grand View Research.
“Our NeuPro-M Edge AI NPU enables ADAS system designers to push the boundaries of AI performance in the most advanced vision-related ADAS applications,” says Ran Snir, General Manager and Vice President of the Vision Business Unit at Ceva. “Nextchip’s next generation ADAS solutions featuring the NeuPro-M will help automakers and Tier-1s add more robust ADAS capabilities, enhance system reliability, and contribute to a safer driving experience for consumers.”
Ceva’s NeuPro-M is a scalable, high-performance, low-power Edge AI NPU designed for deep learning and machine learning applications, including ADAS and computer vision.
