Momenta Partners has named Blaine Mathieu as Partner in Advisory to take the lead of their Startup Advisory practice, the investment company announced.
Mathieu has extensive experience as CEO, CMO, and CPO, having worked in both public and private software and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) companies. He has previously served as Manager of Market Intelligence at Adobe, VP and General Manager at Corel Corporation, CPO at Mindjet and CEO of Selectica.
Before joining Momenta Partners, Blaine held CMO and CPO roles at Vantiq, where he was responsible for driving company growth and expanding client portfolio. Under his leadership, Vantiq entered a strategic investment and deep technology partnership with SoftBank Corp. to provide smart city solutions in Japan and for the rest of the Asian market.
“I truly believe my entire career has led me to this place. Over the last 30 years, I have witnessed and been a part of the digital transformation of industry and the journey is only just beginning,” said Mathieu, in a prepared statement. “My focus over the last six years on big data, IoT, and AI made it clear that Momenta is exactly the right match for me.”
“We are pleased to have Blaine join our Advisory team. Momenta has long viewed that the most effective leaders in Digital Industry are ‘Renaissance people’; those who bring multi-faceted talents and cross-domain experience to industrial challenges. Blaine is a great example of that in action,” said Ken Forster, Executive Director of Momenta Partners and Momenta Ventures, in a prepared statement.
Blane’s joining the team will help Momenta introduce startup-focused services including CEO coaching, fractional CXO services, market and landscape research, positioning and go-to-market strategy formulation, business modeling, business and partner development, and readiness for raising capital.
