Edge computing orchestration and automation provider Nearby Computing and i2i Systems, a private 5G networks solutions company, have signed a partnership to develop and promote a joint solution based on the combination of the two companies’ flagship products.

Both companies are set to combine NearbyOne Orchestrator, an edge computing management and automation suite, and i2i Systems 5G Core Network. Both companies note that the partnership was made possible via NexNet Solutions, a company HQ in Dubai with over 15 years of experience in telecommunications.

NexNet aims to bridge the gap between telecom, enterprise customers and technology vendors solutions such as Nearby Computing and i2i Systems.

“We are excited to collaborate with i2i Systems to simplify and expedite 5G solutions. Our edge automation platform, NearbyOne, adds substantial value to the deployment process, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of 5G technology,” says Josep Martí, CEO of Nearby Computing.

According to Gartner, by 2027, 20% of large enterprises will have deployed an edge management and orchestration (EMO) solution, compared to fewer than 1% in 2023.

The company notes that the solution can be deployed in different environments, from hyperscaler infrastructure to private clouds, as well as on-premises.

“Our partnership with Nearby Computing underscores our unwavering commitment to providing customers with cutting-edge 5G solutions. By merging our global reach and expertise with Nearby Computing’s automation finesse, we empower businesses with the tools necessary to thrive in the 5G era,” adds Ayhan Kapusuz, CEO of i2i Systems.

Both companies ensure a fully streamlined Day-0 deployment and automated lifecycle management, to which the company boasts up to 90% savings in operational time and minimizing operation costs.

As projected by Analysis Mason, spending on private networks is anticipated to reach $7.7 billion by 2027. The number of private LTE/5G networks worldwide is expected to surge from over 4,000 in 2022 to over 60,000 in 2028. Enterprise expenditure on private networks is set to rise from $1 billion in 2022 to $9.2 billion in 2028.
