Macrometa receives SOC Type 2 certification for its secure full-stack global data platform
Macrometa, a provider of a global data platform for event-driven applications, has recently completed a SOC Type 2 certification. According to Macrometa, this certification ensures the company’s commitment to securing its customer’s sensitive information on its platform. Such certification is an important step towards getting contracts with enterprises that have more stringent regulatory requirements/
Frank Rimerman, a Silicon Valley accounting firm, audited Macrometa and recognized the company with the highest industry standard certification for data security.
The System and Organization Controls (SOC) Type 2 certification allows customers to comply with Information Security programs. It requires them to demonstrate adherence to industry-standard security protocols. Due to the increasing number of cybersecurity attacks and data breaches, Macrometa notes that to properly manage global enterprise data, security is more important than ever.
“This certification is a huge milestone for Macrometa and the culmination of hard work and dedication toward the security of our platform,” said Eddie Garcia, chief information security officer at Macrometa.
Receiving the SOC Type 2 certification gives Macrometa the liberty to continue developing a reliable and secure edge cloud platform for enterprise applications. Macrometa edge platform enables delivery of edge data across the cloud in any geographical location. The goal of the company is to allow developers to build real-time applications and APIs without placing constraints on time, space, and cloud architecture.
“Our customers need to be able to trust us with their data, and we recognize that in our industry, trust is earned with third parties testing the controls and procedures put in place to reduce the associated risks with running a hybrid edge cloud data platform,” Garcia noted.
