LightEdge names Jeff Dorr as CFO amid expansion and acquisition spree
LightEdge, a company specializing in secure cloud and colocation services, has appointed Jeff Dorr as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over 18 years of experience in finance, data centers, and investment banking, Dorr will oversee the company’s financial strategy as it enters its next growth phase, according to LightEdge.
Prior to joining LightEdge, Dorr served as CFO of EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure, a U.S.-based provider of scalable data center solutions. He also spent seven years as vice president of finance and corporate operations at CoreSite, a hybrid IT solutions provider. Dorr began his career as an investment banking analyst for Wachovia Securities and brings expertise in financial modeling, analysis, mergers, acquisitions, and capital investment.
Jim Masterson, CEO of LightEdge, expresses satisfaction with Dorr’s appointment, emphasizing the company’s expansion plans and recent acquisition of Connectria, a cloud hosting and managed services provider. With the Connectria acquisition, LightEdge now operates 18 data centers across 11 U.S. markets, providing secure and compliant infrastructure by offering hybrid colocation and tailored multi-cloud solutions.
Dorr’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Matt Biegacki and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rob Carter. The company notes that these strings of appointments reflects LightEdge’s commitment to enhancing its services and meeting clients’ needs in data center and cloud infrastructure.
Masterson highlights the importance of assembling a talented team to deliver excellent customer service and expressed confidence in Dorr’s ability to drive strategic financial growth.
“Dorr’s appointment is the latest example of our focus on providing the best and most comprehensive services to meet our client’s increasingly complex needs in data center and cloud infrastructure,” adds Masterson.
“We’ve always believed that excellent customer service comes from excellent team members, so we invest a lot of time in ensuring we have the best team. Jeff’s exceptional background in strategic financial growth will be critical as we continue to consider new opportunities to further enrich our services.”
Additionally, Dorr expresses enthusiasm about joining LightEdge, citing the company’s reputation as an industry leader and innovator.
