IOTech tackles edge complexity with updated edge management solution
IOTech, an open edge computing solution provider, has launched Edge Manager v3, an enhanced solution for managing industrial edge systems.
The new version addresses challenges like multi-tenancy, workflow automation, integrated tooling, and application upgrades. Edge Manager v3 aims to simplify and automate the management of large-scale edge deployments, reducing operational costs.
“Our customers are rolling out their edge systems at rapidly increasing scale and edge management solutions such as Edge Manager need to evolve accordingly,” said Andrew Foster, Product Director of IOTech.
It supports various edge workloads, including containerized applications and scripts, managed from a centralized controller. Key features include multi-tenancy for managing multiple organizations, workflow automation for critical tasks, and simplified application updates.
Integrated tooling allows for centralized management of Edge Central and connected operational technology devices. IOTech’s Edge Central is a foundational software solution for industrial data, enhancing accessibility and manageability at the edge.
IOTech recently released Edge Central 3.1 for enhanced usability for open edge solutions.
