Hut 8, a digital asset mining and computing infrastructure provider, has partnered with edge computing solutions provider Zenlayer to provide edge computing services to blockchain, Web 3.0 and enterprise customers.

The partnership will enable Hut 8 customers to deploy and run their applications on Zenlayer’s edge computing platform. The system will be accessible in over 40 nations worldwide and permit customers to self-provision compute and networking services using an online console or APIs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zenlayer as a trusted partner to mutually enhance our offerings for high-performance computing to our existing and future customers,” said Jaime Leverton, CEO of Hut 8. “Zenlayer is a global leader in edge cloud services, and we are proud to be the first to bring their services to Canada and continue growing the cloud solutions landscape for Web 3.0, blockchain, and enterprise customers.”

In addition, Zenlayer’s customers will have easier access to the Canadian market as Zenlayer expands its cloud regions at Hut 8’s Kelowna and Mississauga data centers. The partnership allows both companies to collaborate on product development and integrations.

“Hut 8’s allocated digital asset mining and open-source distributed ledger technology make them a market leader in the crypto industry,” said Joe Zhu, founder and CEO of Zenlayer. “We are delighted to partner with Hut 8 to provide joint solutions to the growing blockchain and Web 3.0 ecosystem and look forward to deeper product integrations in the future.”

Zenlayer, one of the top edge cloud services providers in emerging markets, was recently recognized as 2021 Partner of the Year for Asia Pacific by Equinix. Zenlayer also recently announced a collaboration with Yotta to create a new point of presence (PoP) at Yotta NM1 Data Center in Navi Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Hut 8 was recently in the news for its partnership with Foundry. Foundry selected Hut 8’s data center infrastructure for cloud services. Hut 8 also recently reported that compared to last year’s revenue of $33.5 million, this year’s Q2 earnings increased by $10.3 million to $43.8 million.
