HPE adds application and developer services to its GreenLake platform for hybrid cloud environments
Hewlett Packard Enterprise, an edge-to-cloud solutions provider, has rolled out a series of new applications, analytics and developer services for the GreenLake platform. The platform will also support infrastructure-as-a-code and cloud-native toolchains for DevOps and CI/CD environments.
The new offerings include six workload-optimized instances for general purpose, compute, memory and storage that users can access on-demand through a pay-as-you-go model. The improvements allow enterprise customers to use analytical services, giving them the power to analyze usage and cost data for applications for the three major hyperscale public cloud vendors.
“HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is a ready, out-of-the-box private cloud with a completely modern experience, delivering optimized performance, open choice and low and predictable TCO, which is resonating with organizations across every industry,” said Vishal Lall, senior vice president and general manager, HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions.
The key upgrades to the HPE GreenLake Platform include the following:
- HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise offers several deployment options for Kubernetes. With the new hybrid cloud platform, customers have the same capabilities as a public cloud. Users can run containerized applications on-premises and experience complete workload portability and an identical cloud-native experience across their entire hybrid environment.
- HPE GreenLake ecosystem has expanded to more partners, including the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and VMware.
- An early access program was introduced at Discover Frankfurt for HPE GreenLake for Data Fabric and HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics.
“Customers recognize the importance of a hybrid cloud operating model for their digital transformation, and HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is the only solution that brings the best hybrid cloud capabilities from edge to core and across multiple clouds, delivered as a cloud service,” added Lall.
HPE originally introduced the GreenLake platform to offer a suite of services for edge solutions.
