FusionLayer and Supermicro slash edge NGINX deployment time to under 30 seconds

FusionLayer and Supermicro set a new record by deploying an NGINX instance on a remote edge device in under 30 seconds using FusionLayer Xverse.

The proof of concept test demonstrates zero-touch automation for edge infrastructure, conducted between Germany and the Netherlands.

FusionLayer Xverse simplifies deployment with features like secure onboarding, drag-and-drop deployment, and lifecycle management, claiming to reduce deployment costs by over 90%.

“In enterprise environments, IT teams can take weeks—or even months—to manually deploy NGINX at remote sites, creating unnecessary delays and lost business opportunities,” says Juha Holkkola, co-founder and chief executive at FusionLayer. “With Xverse, we’ve reduced that deployment time to under 30 seconds. This game-changer for organizations looking to scale cloud applications rapidly, securely, and cost-effectively.”

This innovation addresses challenges in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, enabling rapid, secure, and scalable edge infrastructure deployment. The solution is particularly beneficial for industries managing IoT fleets, private 5G, or edge cloud environments, cutting deployment time from weeks to minutes.

FusionLayer is finalizing its zero-touch architecture and filing patents, with enterprise PoC trials planned for Q2 2025. The company specializes in cloud-native automation for multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and edge computing environments.
