Evocative rolls out customizable bare metal solution for enterprise customers
Evocative, an Internet infrastructure provider, has announced its new enterprise bare metal service, Evocative Metal.
According to the company, the solution gives businesses greater control, performance and flexibility for resource-intensive applications. Bare metal cloud computing featuring dedicated single-tenant servers, offers higher performance and security than traditional cloud computing.
Evocative Metal offers a global data center network with over 20 colocation facilities and more than 60 Points of Presence. With locations in cities worldwide, including Frankfurt, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Tokyo, the company says that its service provides a scalable solution for enterprises.
The company notes that it offers high-performance computing with improved processing power, reduced latency and control over compute resources for better security. With 100% single-tenancy and hardware-level security protocols, sensitive workloads are isolated and protected. Evocative says its fast deployment process provides businesses with customizable options.
According to Evocative’s CEO, Derek Garnier, bare metal servers offer solutions to the challenges many organizations face in the public cloud. Evocative Metal was developed with the belief that bare metal and hybrid IT represent the industry’s future.
“It is critical that as our industry continues to innovate, enterprises can scale their CPU and GPU intensive workloads to incorporate new technologies such as AI and Machine Learning, which could face limitations with traditional cloud solutions. This is an exciting moment for us and our customers as we bring Evocative Metal to market.”
With 25 years of expertise, Evocative says it provides scalable solutions for managing enterprise IT workloads. It has continuously expanded its global footprint, interconnecting data centers and Points of Presence across North America, Europe and Asia.
Evocative planned to acquire nine data centers across the United States from INAP last fall. The acquisition expanded Evocative’s portfolio with additional colocation and network services.
INAP’s acquisition of multiple colocation facilities in major US cities, including Boston, New Jersey, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle and Silicon Valley, expands its portfolio to 20 facilities and over 60 points of presence.
