Edjx, Zeblok collaborate to accelerate AI application deployment at the edge

Edjx, a decentralized serverless edge computing provider, has partnered with Zeblok Computational, an artificial intelligence platform-as-a-service provider. The Edjx platform and Zeblok AI-MicroCloud will integrate to meet the increasing demand for simple and quick edge deployment solutions. This integration intends to help enterprises deploy AI models and manage them at thousands of edge locations.

The Zeblok Computational Ai-MicroCloud platform helps product engineers solve the problem of scaling at the edge through a simple AI deployment process. These customers can now access Edjx platform capabilities, such as the compute power, network and storage resources, to improve edge applications further. Cloud Service Providers, Managed Service Providers, OEMs and ISVs can execute AI strategies from cloud to edge for a wide range of edge use cases. Some examples include smart retail, Industry 4.0, smart cities and logistics.

“Edjx’s strategic alignment with Zeblok combines capabilities that bring to market unsurpassed competitive differentiation, scaling and value for both of our customers for delivering new edge and AI applications. The partnership is a breakthrough in offering new capabilities for next-gen application development,” said Benjamin Thomas, Edjx CEO.

Edjx is an edge operating system and computing platform that enables users to aggregate distributed compute resources into a single fabric for developing IoT services. Specifically, Edjx EdjFunctions, a serverless edge computing solution, uses a WebAssembly to build serverless functions which users can create using C++ or Rust programming languages. The serverless edge solution allows users to deploy and scale edge applications quickly. The company says that the partnership with Zeblok Computational will help Edjx expand its geographical reach and support more enterprise-scale AI applications.

“By 2035, there will be one trillion Edge devices, requiring many millions of Multi-Access Edge Computing data centers (MECs), with most data created and acted upon at MECs. Zeblok’s Ai-MicroCloud integration with the Edjx decentralized edge mesh will give Zeblok customers a global serverless edge pathway to scale next-gen AI applications,” said Zeblok Computational CEO, Mouli Narayanan.

Zeblok’s Computational Ai-MicroCloud platform was announced at Intel’s Build for Wonderful event at the GSMA Mobile World Congress earlier this year. At the event, the company also discussed how it plans to drive 5G innovation with the support of Intel and American Tower. The partnership with Edjx will enable customers and partners to explore the potential of 5G for edge applications within a robust and secure ecosystem.

Edjx was also in the news last month with the appointment of a new CEO, Benjamin Thomas, and the announcement of raising $3 million in a seed funding round. Led by Intersouth Partners, the company’s total financing is $15 million.
