Edgevana recruits Ryan Fay as the new CIO and CSO

Edgevana has announced the appointment of Ryan Fay as the new CIO and CSO for the Web3 infrastructure company. In the role, Fay will be responsible for strategically building and implementing a product roadmap. Edgevana expects Fay’s expertise in the enterprise space to help them participate and contribute to industry initiatives and leadership opportunities.

Previously, Fay served as the global head of high tech and global enterprises at Gartner and continues to be an advisor for Control Panel Corporation. Fay has also served as columnist and CIO advisor at CIO Online for over 2 years exploring strategic technology, digital transformation trends and best practices for fostering a modern international technology team. Prior to that, Fay served with ACI Speciality Benefits as global chief information officer.

“As we continue to expand our products and services, while also meeting the needs of an expanding client base, we need a team of highly specialized leaders to help address an ever-changing market,” said Mark Thiele, Edgevana co-founder & CEO. “Ryan’s unique skill set and experience will play a key role as our business continues to evolve.”

Edgevana has been providing access to Tier IV fault-tolerant data centers along with several tied edge data centers from multiple data center providers. The company is building its value proposition with the aim of providing vendor-independent solutions across hundreds of unique locations and countries.

The company specializes in understanding and orchestrating the enterprise needs for edge data centers and provides unified solutions with the combination of various edge data centers from different vendors.

“I have the ability and an appreciation for what is necessary to take a business like this to the next level,” said Ryan. “I look forward to working closely with the rest of the leadership team to capitalize on the many opportunities ahead and kick off Edgevana’s next chapter of growth and success.”

Edgevana recently announced that Solana Foundation has selected them for efficient edge data center deployments. Both the companies have also been working together on a program to give decentralized system operators access to enterprise-grade hardware. Edgevana will be helping the Solana Foundation to deploy 500 bare metal servers in 32 of the Edgevana data centers and colocation facilities across 22 countries.
