EdgeMicro details availability at 3 edge data center locations, expects four more to go live in 2020
EdgeMicro has taken another major step forward in its offerings and is going live with micro data centers (MDCs) in Austin, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Tampa, Florida. EdgeMicro has collaborated for months with the anchor tenants to understand and deliver on their edge computing requirements. The customers include large internet companies and content providers that are seeking to improve user experience in under-served markets.
POC for Edge Computing Use Cases
Austin, Tampa, and Raleigh are all open, live and are now ready for service. The company is inviting customers to find out how to build out proof of concept (POC) tests for an edge computing use case and experience the performance increase at true edge locations.
EdgeMicro has currently executed on-site space in the next four locations, which will be announced soon. The company expects facilities to be coming online around December 2020 and is allowing customers to reserve space now in its first seven sites.
Custom Location and Build To Suit
EdgeMicro is in the site selection and permitting phase for the next 20 cities in 2021. The company is also offering the ability to deliver on a customized site selection for businesses and can custom build to suit in some cases. For edge co-location, edge POC, or customized edge solutions, more information is available on the company’s web site.
