Deepomatic raises 10M Euros to accelerate the growth of its visual automation platform
Deepomatic, a visual automation platform provider, has completed its €10 million Series B financing round. With this new funding, the company plans to expand into Europe, the United States and Latin America. In terms of customers, Deepomatic plans to set its sights on the energy and mobility industries while continuing to serve the telecom sector.
Two new investors, EnBW New Ventures and Orbia Ventures, participated in this funding round. Existing investors, Hi Inov-Dentressangle, Alven and Swisscom Ventures, also participated in the round.
“We are thrilled to welcome two new international investors for this new chapter of Deepomatic’s history, which symbolizes our strong growth ambitions abroad,” said Augustin Marty, CEO of Deepomatic. “The arrival of EnBW New Ventures as part of a German utility group and Orbia Ventures with its global footprint in utilities and telecom and its roots in North America, will help us reach new clients and provide us with operational expertise to accelerate our international deployment.”
Deepomatic’s Visual Automation platform helps companies obtain a complete, real-time, objective view of their field operations, the company says. Companies using the platform can leverage data from routine field pictures to empower frontline workers while increasing service quality and automating operational processes, the company says. According to Deepomatic, the AI-based platform documents and analyzes all fieldwork.
“Due to staff shortages and cost pressures, many companies are facing major challenges with their service technicians. High quality and customer satisfaction are simultaneously becoming increasingly important. We believe that Deepomatic, as a technology leader in field service digitization, offers a big part of the solution to these challenges”, stated Theodor Schulte, investment manager at EnBW New Ventures.
Deepomatic’s Visual Automation Platform has an image recognition engine and a mobile application for technicians or field agents. Also, their browser-based business solutions help with monitoring. The platform uses an API compatible with many business applications, including ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics and IFS. It can also integrate with customer-specific applications.
The following are some of the benefits Deepomatic says it provides:
- Real-time anomaly detection enables technicians to do their job correctly the first time, leading to increased productivity.
- Quality control scaling
- Operational data that is easy to access from any company department
- A smaller environmental footprint by reducing field workforce travel and optimizing component consumption
The company currently has 70 employees with customers in the telecommunications, utilities, hospitality and insurance industries. Close to 20,000 field workers are using Deepomatic software daily and the platform analyzes close to 1 million operations per month. The company plans to hire approximately 50 people by 2024 and has already hired a VP of sales, Julien Moreschetti.
“Deepomatic’s leading visual automation platform is pioneering in its use of AI technology for field operations and has many synergies across Orbia’s business groups. Working together, we aim to help develop and move the technology into new sectors and regions,” said Eitan Dekel, managing director of Orbia Ventures.
