DataBank inks reseller deal with Radware for cybersecurity
DataBank announced it has signed a reseller agreement with Radware, a network edge security and application delivery solutions provider. The arrangement will help mitigate security events such as distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
“We are happy to be joining forces with DataBank to help their customers securely transition and adapt to the next evolution of the internet,” says Bob Simpson, vice president of North American sales at Radware. “Our Cloud DDoS Protection and Application Security solutions offer state-of-the-art, frictionless security to meet the requirements of edge IT infrastructures.”
Radware offers real-time security for on-premise and private and public networks with its Cloud DDoS Protection. The solution combines behavioral-based detection, automatic signature creation, and unique SSL attack mitigation to prevent DDoS attacks. It also has application security with a web application firewall, bot manager, API security, and DDoS protection that incorporates behavioral-based algorithms that are used to detect unusual traffic patterns, for instance.
DataBank Chief Information Security Officer Mark Houpt says managing security across a “fragmented vendor landscape” has led to a difficult and time-consuming environment for companies. He said the partnership with Radware will deliver solutions for its customers to defend their data center assets, and minimize risks from cyber threats as they move mission-critical workloads and platforms closer to the edge.
In the fall of 2021, Radware partnered with Azion on detecting and blocking malicious internet-based attacks.
