Cradlepoint targets wireless access for SMEs with new 5G router

Cradlepoint, a company specializing in cloud-based LTE and 5G wireless edge network solutions, has introduced its X10 5G router aimed at assisting service providers in offering fixed wireless access (FWA) services to small and medium-sized businesses, temporary locations, and remote workers.

The X10 5G router is designed to provide reliable connectivity and easy management through NetCloud Manager while allowing service providers to create customized security and Quality of Service (QoS) plans. It aims to offer fast and dependable 5G connectivity, serving as either the primary connection or a backup option, helping businesses swiftly and securely connect to the Internet, minimizing network downtime.

With the anticipated surge in 5G FWA connections, projected to reach nearly 80 percent by 2028, there’s a growing demand for tailored solutions from service providers, the company notes. Cradlepoint’s X10 5G router also aims to address this demand by offering enterprise-grade features at a reasonable cost.

“Cradlepoint continues to innovate, enabling our service provider community to give their customers the best 5G experience,” says Tony Puopolo, senior vice president of service provider sales at Cradlepoint.

“With the enormous growth of 5G FWA, we’re giving service providers the tools that enable higher levels of network reliability, visibility, and overall quality of experience, which allows them to differentiate their business offerings.”

The company notes that service providers can capitalize by attracting FWA customers across different markets, leveraging the flexibility and affordability of the X10 Router. They can also enhance their offerings by upselling security, Quality of Service, and managed services, utilizing the advanced service architecture provided by NetCloud Exchange, according to the company.

Furthermore, the cloud-based management of the X10 router through NetCloud enables service providers to support their managed services at scale. Additionally, the APIs offer flexibility for integration with existing management systems.

Available now, Cradlepoint will debut the X-10 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year.
