CommScope debuts RUCKUS Edge for cloud-managed services at the network edge
CommScope launched the RUCKUS Edge cloud-managed platform for service delivery at the network edge.
RUCKUS Edge extends the AI-driven RUCKUS One platform, enabling centralized control and performance management. The platform supports scalable, low-latency networking, security, and productivity services. It features a zero-touch virtual LAN service called SD-LAN for easy deployment.
“We’re taking a bold step forward by extending the capabilities of our AI-Driven network assurance and business intelligence platform, RUCKUS One, to the edge of the network,” stated Bart Giordano, SVP and president, Networking Intelligent Cellular and Security Solutions, CommScope. “The RUCKUS Edge platform enables RUCKUS Networks and its trusted technology partners to deliver a variety of networking, security, and productivity services at the edge of the network to enhance security, privacy, performance and user experience.”
RUCKUS Edge simplifies deployment and management through a centralized cloud interface and offers improved security with VXLAN-based isolated virtual network segments.
The platform reduces latency by processing traffic closer to users with seamless Wi-Fi roaming enabled across campuses without interrupting connections.
Offered as a pay-as-you-go subscription model allowing organizations to manage costs effectively, RUCKUS Edge enhances network resilience with redundant, clustered appliances.
The platform integrates IT and IoT/OT networks for streamlined management.
