Avathon announced a collaboration with Armada, an edge computing infrastructure company, to integrate its industrial AI platform into Armada’s Galleon modular data centers, enabling prescriptive maintenance and inventory management in remote, bandwidth-constrained areas.
The partnership allows seamless deployment of Avathon’s AI applications globally via the Armada marketplace, and targets industries with limited cloud infrastructure, such as offshore oil rigs and mining operations, enhancing connectivity and AI capabilities in these areas.
“At Armada, we’re building the world’s first industrial distributed cloud for the 70 percent of the world that isn’t in close proximity to hyperscale data centers,” says Dan Wright, CEO of Armada. “Our edge infrastructure is built to make deploying real-world AI effortless, allowing partners like Avathon to seamlessly deliver their Industrial AI Platform anywhere in the world—unlocking even greater value for our shared customers.”
Avathon and Armada are showcasing their joint solution at the LEAP 2025 technology conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armada’s edge infrastructure supports deploying AI in remote locations, creating a distributed industrial cloud for areas far from hyperscale data centers.
Armada recently partnered with Aramco Digital and Microsoft to deploy the world’s first industrial distributed cloud in Saudi Arabia.
