Avassa, OnLogic partner to offer a full-stack solution for industrial IoT edge environments
Avassa, a provider of application and infrastructure management services, has teamed up with OnLogic, a solution provider and manufacturer of industrial computers. Together, they aim to offer a comprehensive solution for industrial IoT edge environments by integrating their software and hardware components.
Through their collaboration, Avassa and OnLogic plan to provide customers with a purpose-built edge solution for distributed edge environments. Avassa brings its edge application management and operations platform, which offers monitoring and security capabilities, to the table. Meanwhile, OnLogic provides rugged industrial edge-native computers, further enhancing the partnership’s offerings.
We often talk to customers who are building a new generation of IoT edge infrastructure, and that includes both edge computers and a software platform for managing edge and IoT applications,” says Carl Moberg, CTO of Avassa. “Together, we can offer customers a full-stack solution that excels in solving the unique challenges of edge.”
Avassa recently unveiled its latest offering, Avassa for Industrial IoT, which is an efficient application management solution tailored to the specific needs of the industrial IoT vendor ecosystem. This software provides complete lifecycle management, including deployment, monitoring, observation, and security for container applications. The solution also ensures the protection of sensitive data during transmission or storage.
One instance of implementation of their solution can be found in the operations of FlashEye, a LiDAR monitoring company, which leverages the technology to reduce downtime at mining facilities. The companies will be showcasing their respective products at the upcoming Embedded World expo in Nuremberg, Germany.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Avassa to help provide enterprise customers a comprehensive solution for containerization and orchestration for modern edge deployments,” says Kim Wasserman, OnLogic VP of Product Management. “Their software solutions complement our rugged and reliable hardware for IIoT applications and beyond.”
