AsiaSat taps Victor Au as general counsel
Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company (AsiaSat) has hired Victor Au as its new general counsel to lead the company’s legal affairs and regulatory compliance, according to a press release issued by the company.
Au is profiled as a legal practitioner with over two decades of experience working for international and local law firms and in-house legal departments in corporate, commercial, and intellectual property. He was previously the Asia Pacific General Counsel of Vertiv Holdings Co., covering Asia-Pacific legal, intellectual property, and compliance functions. His background also extends to in-house counsel of IDT International Limited, and as a private practicing solicitor at the law firm Baker & McKenzie.
“I’m truly excited to take up this new and challenging role and I look forward to working closely with Roger, the AsiaSat management team and other departments to support the company’s transformation initiatives and ongoing business expansion for sustainable company growth amidst the ever-changing legal and compliance landscape,” says Au.
AsiaSat has taken steps to expand its purview by expanding its Sailas end-to-end managed connectivity service for the maritime sector and partnering with Turbidite for cloud and hosting solutions in Asia.
