Armada to push edge computing and AI in MENA region via Edarat group partnership
Edge computing company Armada is collaborating with Edarat Group, a data center engineering consulting and cloud service provider. Armada and Edarat Group say the pair aim to help businesses leverage their data with the help of generative AI, edge computing and predictive models.
According to the terms of the partnership, Edarat Group intends to deploy Armada’s modular data centers across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and MENA region. The company says the deployment will enable Edarat’s current and future clientele to integrate Armada’s edge infrastructure solution, including the Commander software platform, in conjunction with Edarat Sovereign Cloud.
Through this integration, EdaratCloud claims it will deliver low latency and high-performance computing along with AI-enabled services at the edge through a platform known as Galleons. The end-to-end solution is designed to offer high-bandwidth connectivity in remote areas, to benefit sectors such as oil and gas with its capabilities in compute, AI/ML, connected devices, and remote IoT analytics.
Ghassan El Khazen, Edarat’s CTO, says: “The partnership with Armada presents a multitude of benefits. By combining the scalability and flexibility of EdaratCloud with the speed and efficiency of edge computing, we can provide clients with a comprehensive solution that optimizes performance and user experience.
“The integration of EdaratCloud and the Galleon allows for real-time data processing closer to the source, reducing latency and enhancing overall system reliability. This collaboration enables us to offer a seamless and more secure end-to-end cloud service that meets the evolving needs of businesses in the GCC.”
The solution extends its applications to various sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and telecom, promising versatile utility. The Galleons, noted for being self-contained and fully ruggedized, boast rapid deployment capabilities in any environment, whether urban or remote.
Pradeep Nair, CTO of Armada, underscores the significance of the partnership with Edarat Group in expanding the reach of their innovative solutions to key industries globally.
“We’re excited to build upon Edarat’s achievements in connectivity and data center innovation and address the growing need for decentralized, real-time data analysis across oil and gas, manufacturing, and emergency response enterprises, among others,” adds Nair.
“We look forward to working together and bringing the power of generative AI and predictive models to even the most remote industrial sites across the Middle East and North Africa.”
