Advantech, Wind River, Nybsys launch AI-powered private 5G for industrial edge

Advantech, Wind River, and Nybsys have launched an AI-powered private 5G express solution for industrial private networks, combining edge computing, network security, and 5G technology.
The solution features Wind River’s eLxr Pro, a Debian-based Linux platform optimized for edge-to-cloud deployments in industries like aerospace, energy, and telecommunications.
Nybsys’ Private 5G Express (P5GE) is a compact, plug-and-play 5G network-in-a-box designed for rapid deployment with a five-minute boot time.
The solution integrates Advantech’s SKY and FWA edge servers powered by Intel processors, ensuring optimized power, cooling, and compute resources at the edge.
It supports containerized multi-workloads, including generative AI, while enhancing power efficiency and reducing maintenance demands.
“As we see requirements for edge computing are shifting by adding AI and acceleration at the edge, power, cooling and scalability are becoming a challenge,” commented Sven Freudenfeld, Senior Director at Advantech. “The more AI processing is done on the edge, the more networking, security and acceleration resources are needed at the edge. Working with the right partners that can optimize the building blocks for deployment is the key for a successful Private 5G and network security deployment”
Advantech’s edge solutions focus on scalable, secure, and high-performance deployments for private 5G and network security.
This collaboration highlights the accelerating convergence of AI, private 5G, and edge computing to support industrial deployments that demand real-time processing, security, and scalability. By integrating AI-powered workload management with optimized edge hardware, the solution enables enterprises to deploy private 5G networks faster while addressing power and cooling challenges—key factors as AI adoption at the edge grows.
