Advantech taps AMD chips to boost performance in new edge AI systems

Advantech, a provider of embedded computing solutions, has launched next-generation edge AI systems under the AIR series, powered by AMD’s compute portfolio, including Ryzen, EPYC, Instinct MI210 accelerators, and Radeon PRO GPUs.

These systems are designed for demanding edge applications such as vision AI, real-time analytics, and large-scale model processing (SLM/LLM).

The AIR-410, AIR-420, and AIR-540 systems offer high-speed AI inferencing, reduced latency, and scalability for AI-driven solutions.

“Advantech and AMD continue to strengthen our collaboration in the edge AI era, integrating advanced CPU platforms with high-performance AI accelerators and GPU solutions,” says Aaron Su, Vice President of Advantech Embedded IoT Group. “This joint effort enables cutting-edge computing power to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving embedded AI applications.

Advantech and AMD’s collaboration should accelerate AI adoption across industries and expand the edge AI market.
