Advantech debuts Hailo-8 AI modules delivering 52 TOPS for vision applications at the edge
Advantech, a provider of embedded computing solutions, has launched two edge AI acceleration modules, the EAI-1200 and EAI-3300, powered by Hailo-8 processors, offering up to 52 TOPS of AI performance with over 12 times the power efficiency of similar products.
The EAI-1200 is an M.2 module providing 26 TOPS at 5 watts, designed for applications like baggage screening and autonomous robots, while the EAI-3300 is a PCIe card with 52 TOPS at 15 watts, suitable for medical imaging and traffic monitoring.
Both modules support easy integration with x86 and ARM platforms and come with software toolkits for efficient development of edge-based vision AI applications.
The EAI-1200 is currently available, and the EAI-3300 will be released by the end of December 2024.
