Advantech brings 4K display to workspaces and kiosks with the DS-450
Advantech, an embedded computing solution provider, recently launched the DS-450, a palm-sized edge computer designed for kiosk and workspace applications.
Advantech says the DS-450 device displays lifelike UHD (4K) content with a compact size and direct-soldered design for enhanced stability and durability. Ideal for digital signage applications, the company notes that it delivers reliable performance for integration into kiosks, screens or workspaces.

The company additionally says that the DS-450 device is designed for continuous operation. With active fan cooling and adjustable fan speed, the company notes this device ensures efficient operation and minimal power consumption. Its low surface temperatures suit various locations, including meeting rooms. Additionally, it offers 24/7 operation, an extended lifespan and can withstand an operating temperature range of 0 – 45°C.
