Aarna Networks, Airspan Networks, Druid Software team up on new private 5G solution

Aarna Networks, in collaboration with Airspan Networks and Druid Software, has introduced a private 5G solution tailored for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), specialized system integrators (SI), and multi-site enterprises. The solution aims to address the increasing demand for enterprise network connectivity surpassing the limitations of traditional networks like WiFi or cabled connections.

Designed to meet the requirements of multi-site organizations, the private 5G solution enables efficient management of numerous private 5G networks and edge sites from a centralized platform, according to the company.

Enterprises across various sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, education, logistics, energy, retail, agriculture, and construction are adopting private 5G-based networks to enhance mobility, coverage, latency, scalability, security, and reliability.

The collaboration between Aarna Networks, Airspan Networks, and Druid Software also aims to deliver a fully disaggregated solution to the market. Components of the solution include the Aarna Networks Multi Cluster Orchestration Platform (AMCOP), which serves as an open-source management and orchestration platform for edge environments and private 5G services.

“We’re finally starting to see Private 5G networks emerge as the superior choice for a variety of industry use cases,” says Amar Kapadia, CEO and co-founder of Aarna Networks.

“We’re thrilled to partner with industry leaders like Airspan and Druid which enables us to offer a comprehensive solution built for superior functionality and ease-of-use. This joint solution is very unique for MSPs, vertically specialized SIs, and multi-site enterprises in that it can scale to a very large number of networks.”

Further components consist of Airspan’s 5G Stand Alone (SA) radios optimized for both indoor and outdoor use, operating across sub-6GHz bands. These radios prioritize small form factor, energy efficiency, and adherence to 3GPP standards, offering a hassle-free network management experience integrated with AMCOP, the company notes.

“We are seeing strong interest in the Aarna Networks Private 5G Solution, its user-friendly interface empowering MSPs, specialized SIs, and enterprises to seamlessly deploy and manage numerous Private 5G networks,” comments Tadhg Kenny, president of strategic partnerships at Druid Software.

“With our commitment to a multi-vendor approach, we believe the synergy between Aarna, Airspan and Druid will help our customers to experience a truly transformational potential of 5G technology,”

The company says Druid Software’s Raemis core network platform complements the solution with its mature 3GPP-compliant 4G/5G platform, facilitating the implementation of standalone networks. Raemis, according to the company, ensures high-quality service with capabilities for prioritization, network slicing, and scalability, making it suitable for various deployment scenarios, including edge hardware devices and cloud-native environments.

“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Aarna Networks, addressing the rising demand for enterprise connectivity beyond conventional networks,” adds Abel Mayal, SVP of technology and marketing at Airspan.

“In collaboration with 5G Core Vendor Druid Software, we’re streamlining the deployment and management of private 5G networks and edge sites, offering organizations a unified and simplified network orchestration experience.”
